Viridis Secures DNV Approval for Ammonia-Powered Short Sea Vessel

With scalable production, favorable transport and storage properties, and commendable energy density, green ammonia presents several advantages over alternative low or zero carbon solutions. Acknowledging the significance of this development, classification society DNV has awarded Viridis Bulk Carriers an Approval in Principle (AiP) for their revolutionary ammonia-fueled short sea bulk carrier design.
